BoatLife Live: Collingwood Boat Builders Sets Sail at the NEC Birmingham

As the proud home of boat building heritage, Liverpool has always been synonymous with the craftsmanship that goes into creating narrowboats and widebeam boats. But February saw the team at Collingwood Boat Builders, a leading name in the industry, set sail for Birmingham to showcase its expertise at the BoatLife event held at the NEC National Exhibition Centre.

Our display of two meticulously crafted boats were on full display and attracted boat enthusiasts, industry professionals and intrigued visitors alike.

Our unique stand setup allowed the public to step aboard and experience the allure of life on the waterways firsthand. Visitors had the unique opportunity to explore the interior and immerse themselves in the craftsmanship that sets Collingwood Boat Builders apart in the industry.

Ian, from the Collingwood sales team, who supported the stand, said:

“We were very excited to be showcasing our work at the BoatLife show this year in Birmingham. Each vessel demonstrated not only the traditional craftsmanship deeply ingrained in Liverpool’s boat building legacy but also the company’s forward-thinking approach to design and functionality. We truly had the busiest stand at the show!”

Beyond Collingwood’s own offerings, BoatLife brought together an impressive array of companies, speakers, and exhibitors, creating a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas and industry insights, which we were thrilled to be a part of.

The event featured engaging speakers who delved into various aspects of boat building and the waterways lifestyle. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from industry experts, gaining valuable insights into the latest trends, technologies, and sustainable practices shaping the future of boat building.

Collingwood Boat Builders extends its gratitude to the organisers, fellow exhibitors, and the enthusiastic visitors at BoatLife. The event not only allowed us to highlight Collingwood’s commitment to excellence but also helped to reinforce Liverpool’s position as a hub for boat building heritage to attendees from across the UK and abroad.

We can’t wait to see you again next year!
